Step inside the world famous Le Train Bleu and you step into another era of Paris. One where travel was theatre, and dinner was part of the spectacle.

Perched above the platforms of Gare de Lyon, this is not just a restaurant, it is a monument to a more opulent time. Unveiled for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, Le Train Bleu was built to impress. Gilded ceilings, vast murals of the Riviera, chandeliers casting that unmistakable golden glow. A room designed to seduce travellers before they even departed the city.

And it did.

This was the starting point for the grand journeys south. Aristocrats, artists, politicians, film stars. The likes of Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot and Salvador Dalí passed through these doors, not as visitors, but as part of the rhythm of the place. Dining here was never incidental. It was ritual.

That spirit still holds.

Service here is old-school in the best sense. Precise, attentive, and quietly confident. Silver cloches, crisp linens, waiters who move with intention. Nothing rushed, nothing forced.

The menu follows suit. Classic French, done properly. No gimmicks, no reinvention for the sake of it. Rich sauces, perfectly executed meats, dishes that belong in a room like this.

For this edition of Seat at the Table, we step into one of Paris’ most theatrical dining rooms and return it to what it does best. One long table. A group of sharp, curious, well-travelled people. Generous food, proper wine, and that unmistakable SATT energy layered into a setting that has seen it all before.

This is not just dinner.

This is First Class.

Purchase Policy

Due to the nature of our "Table" events, all sales are final and non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, your booking may be transferred to another guest — simply let us know their details at least 24 hours in advance at reservations (at) seatalatable dot com, or ask them to provide your name upon arrival.

Please note that transferring funds for your seats remains the responsibility of the original purchaser.

In the rare event that we must postpone due to circumstances beyond our control, your booking will be automatically honoured for the rescheduled date.

Who Attends

The Seat at the Table community is diverse but all share one quality: a natural curiosity and a nose for fun! Fellow discerning lovers of French wine & gastronomy, you will be joined by a small hand-picked group of the most “interested and interesting” people you’ll have met in some time!

The "Table"and Ëpicurean Adventures" will be bi-lingual English & French, predominantly in English.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance prior to departure.

Cancellations & Refunds

Due to the nature of group bookings and privatizations, please note that tickets for our "Tables" are non-refundable.

They are transferrable - please be sure to reach out if you can no longer make it.

Transfers

If you are unable to attend, you are able to transfer your ticket(s) to someone else. Be sure to let us know.

Force Majeure

Our "Table" events will proceed regardless of weather conditions—rain, hail, or shine. Our experiences are designed to adapt to the elements, ensuring a memorable journey no matter the forecast. However, in the rare event of an Act of God—such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or other unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control—that prevents the tour from taking place, we reserve the right to cancel the experience.

In such an instance, guests will be refunded in full for any payments made to Seat at the Table at the time of cancellation. Please note that any additional expenses incurred by guests, such as travel or accommodation costs outside of the tour, are not covered by this refund policy.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, as our primary goal is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants while delivering an exceptional adventure.
